Transhistria ensemble preformed in front of a packed hall of Zagreb Youth Theatre, in a concert which marked 20 years of Tamara’s discographic career. The concert was recorded, and the video will be released by Cantus.
Tamara Obrovac marked 20 years of her discographic career with concerts in Theatre Urania in Osijek on the 25th of November and in Zagreb Youth Theatre the following night. The concert in Zagreb received so much attention that it sold out, forcing the organiser to add more seating places. More importantly, every person that attended got a chance to enjoy a truly rare musical event. The audience showed it by giving ovations after each performance, every solo, every spontaneous move of the musicians - and there were plenty of those, and also by inviting the artists to two encores.
This was a retrospective of Tamara’s opus, as the programme contained songs from different periods of her career, although most compositions were from her latest album “Canto Amoroso”, released by Austrian publishing house Alessa Records.
